Coasters Retreat (The Basin)
Located in one of the most popular places in Pittwater, close to the public wharfs which are serviced by a regular ferry service. There is a National Parks and Wildlife reserve here for camping and other accommodation on shore with an amenities facility (NPWS fee applicable). A fantastic safe swimming area for children and plenty of parkland for them to run around in complete with tame kangaroos. Be prepared to ask non members to vacate the club mooring as this is a very popular weekend boating destination, most people oblige willingly. Rafting of two smaller vessels here is possible, but generally not recommended as clearance between moorings is limited.
