Peats Bite Long Lunch

The BHCC had a long history of an annual Peats Bite lunch week and on Saturday 6 April we will be finally heading back! Our favourite weekend destination restaurant on the water, is finally re-opening following a devastating fire over two years ago.

** PLEASE NOTE: Peats Bite is due to open late March but should there be any delay with opening then we will have to postpone.  We’re planning for the best and looking forward to enjoying one of their first lunches.

Peats Bite is a family nurtured business operating since the early 80’s. They pride themselves in welcoming guests to their beautiful part of the Hawkesbury river and making you feel as though you’ve arrived home. They have mastered the long-relaxed lunch and remain to be one of Sydney’s “best kept secrets”. Getting to this remote location is part of the adventure and once you arrive you will not be disappointed by the magnificent Hawkesbury river and its endless untouched nature reserves.

The Menu Peats Bite is dedicated to fresh local produce. They create new seasonal dishes whilst staying true to their style. The menu is designed to be enjoyed over several hours, so you have plenty of time to relax and take in not only the food but the venue and entertainment.

You may choose to join this event for all or any part of the weekend.

Some members will start Friday evening staying overnight in Americas Bay. A group of boats are expected to leave Bobbin Head Marina 9.00am on Saturday and these boats will link up with those that chose to stay at America’s Bay overnight at 10.00am. The flotilla will then cruise up to Peats Bite arriving 11.30 ready for 1 pm lunch.

If you cannot take your boat, Peats Bite run a shuttle service from Brooklyn.

On arrival at Peats Bite you can anchor, pick up a swing mooring or you can book a marina berth by contacting Peats Bite direct to book. The overnight charge is approx. $50. If you cannot stay overnight, you can cruise back in the evening. Boats that stay overnight will party on.

RSVP through the BHCC web site as this allows us to monitor our numbers for the event.  FIRST IN BEST DRESSED for this event, so please RSVP and pay now.

If you would like to book an overnight marina berth then add $50.00 to your booking. We have pre booked berths for 8 boats so these will be on a first come basis.
